Father Jeffrey V. Romans
It is my privilege to welcome you to our St. Bridget School website!
What an amazing start we have had to this new school year. The excitement, enthusiasm, and joy of the first few weeks has continued to spread throughout the school building to our faculty, staff, and students. We recently finished the reaccreditation visit from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and look forward to receiving any recommendations they can offer to help us strengthen our program.
I am so excited for what this year will bring! What a way to start the beginning of our 25th Anniversary year since the reopening of St. Bridget School!
Over these 25 years our school building and grounds have certainly changed and expanded, but so has our curriculum and other offerings as well. We at St. Bridget School have continued and will continue to ensure that our students are challenged daily both academically and spiritually. We actively look for additional ways to enhance our curriculum and are proud of our state of the art technology which enhances the learning process.
Please come and visit, take a tour, and learn more about the phenomenal education your child could receive here at St. Bridget School. I am confident you will see the extraordinary value of a Catholic school education and the difference it makes in forming the future leaders of our Church and the wider community.
We are charged with exceeding national standards and so continue to implement curriculum that provides a challenging course, grounded in basic skills necessary for students to develop foundational skills that lead to higher, more complex thinking skills, rooted in Gospel values, and integrating Catholic social teaching across all disciplines, ensuring the development of the whole child. Students graduating from St. Bridget School exceed state and national benchmarks, evidenced by our exemplary standardized test scores and high performance on high school placement exams. Most importantly, we truly educate the whole child: academically, socially, and spiritually. This year we are truly focusing on making our Mission Statement a living document that will shape all that we do. We want all involved at St. Bridget School to heed the call of Jesus “to love one another as I have loved you.”
Together with God’s grace, the dedication of our faculty, administration, and staff, coupled with the phenomenal volunteers both from our parish and school families we live out our mission daily “with the goal of empowering each of us to serve the parish and community and make a positive difference in the lives of others.”
Asking God’s choicest blessings upon you and your family, I remain,
Sincerely yours in Christ,
The Reverend Jeffrey V. Romans
