Remote Learning Experiences

Last week, Mr. Guererra’s 7th grade history class had an opportunity to participate in a new learning experience, a virtual field trip! The virtual field trip is an engaging experience that allows students to escape to different museums, national parks, battle fields, and historic homes around the world while interacting with their fellow students and teacher. This experience allows the sharing of their knowledge and discoveries along the way. It consists of an online meeting in which students follow the same link to a virtual tour that is either guided by the organization that developed it or by the instructor. Mr's Nott’s Language Arts classes built pillow forts for reading and prayer.
SBS Robotics Club

We all might be currently learning at home, but our “SBS engineers” continue to “virtually” meet every Friday afternoon. Using the Vex Robotics application, we are creating a coding environment where students can write robot software directly in the browser, and use a virtual environment where they can immediately see what the robot would do.
Our coaches Mr. Tine and Mr. Moreno have done a fantastic job keeping our club vibrant and engaging. We are so very grateful to all of our coaches and students for this unique experience.
