THE SBS BOOKFAIR IS COMING!!!:
November 4th-November 8th
All For Books Incentive: The All For Books program through Scholastic gives funds to the school to purchase books for the library. Each purchase made at the book fair helps our school earn money for new library books. A percentage of each sale and 100% of profits from the Pencil Pull Raffle goes toward books for our school.
Teacher Wish Boxes: Help build each classroom library! Teachers will choose books and you can find those books in labeled boxes at the fair. If your child buys a Wish Book, he or she will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a basket of books. What a nice surprise it would be for each teacher to receive books from their students!
The book fair is open to the community during the following hours:
11/4: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
11/5: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
11/6: 8:30 AM-6:00 PM
11/7: 8:30 AM-4:00 PM
11/8: 8:30 AM-1:00 PM
Second Grade Surgeons!
Ms. Merriam’s 2nd grade class used gloves, hospital masks, and even a medical waste basket to cut up words to make contractions! They had steady hands and found many new contractions that they can use in reading and writing.
