Alleluia ~ He is Risen
Happy Spring! It is hard to believe that it’s April since our weather still thinks its winter! Children are beginning to have Spring Fever and it is very important they stay focused on their work. Our IOWA tests begin April 25 and end May 16th.
In Geography the seventh graders are learning all about Europe and the eighth graders are learning about Asia. We will be preparing for our annual Geography Fair in May. The seventh graders will make a landmark of their choice and the eighth graders will research a country of their choice and complete a display of that country. Religion for the next few weeks will be a combination of discussing Sunday Gospels and readings as well as our Family Life study. In Health class the seventh graders will be learning about our hearts and will make a 3-D model of a heart. The eighth graders will begin to learn about reproduction. April will be a busy academic month!
Congratulations to Raymond Hackett, who will compete in the state level at Central Connecticut University in April for the National Geographic Bee!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karen Thomas

In an effort to unify middle school information, the middle
school teachers will be using the educonnect website to post handouts, rubrics,
assignments, and any paper work students may need to complete homework
assignments, especially long range assignments. As a reminder, most of our
textbooks are available on line and can be easily accessed from any tablet or
computer; therefore, they are readily available. This should alleviate any
unnecessary trips back to school for forgotten assignments.
