Alleluia ~ He is Risen
It is hard to believe that it’s April and that the end of the school year is coming so quickly. I hope that the long winter is behind us and spring will show us all her glory. With much more work to do and IOWA tests coming soon, it is important that children stay focused on work and not come down with Spring Fever.
All of our subjects are moving along well and we are where we should be at this time of year. We will be working on a variety of topics in math, finishing measurement and moving on to data interpretation. Our reading series will bring us to look at, “The Unexpected” shortly after we return from the short Easter break. Religion for the next few weeks will be a combination of discussing Sunday Gospels and readings as well as our Family Life study. In social studies we will continue to learn about the birth of our nation. April will be a busy month!
I hope you are all planning to attend the auction on April 13th. There are great items to bid on as well as some terrific teacher experiences, especially The Breakfast Club. If you can’t be there in person be sure to participate in mobile bidding.
IOWA tests will begin on April 25 and run until May 9th. If possible please do not schedule any doctor appointments or vacations during these days.
