Welcome to Our Pre-Kindergarten 4 Class!
My name is Mrs. Brilvitch. I have been an early childhood educator for 30 years and I have been a substitute teacher at St. Bridget School for the last three years. I have a B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Reading from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. As a Navy wife, I have held teaching certifications in Pennsylvania, California, Tennessee, and Virginia. Upon my husband’s retirement from the Navy, we returned to Connecticut to help care for his parents as well as be closer to family. My husband and I have two young adult children as well as two cockatiels. I enjoy walking or biking the Farmington Canal trail, reading, and spending time with family.
Pre-K 4 at St. Bridget School is a fun place to grow and learn! The students are forming their faith through daily prayer and weaving our Catholic values through all subjects including highlighting a virtue each month. Beloved stories such as The Cat in the Hat, Rainbow Fish, and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie are shared in Language Arts and explored through story retellings and artwork. Recognizing and writing our numbers are important skills for Pre-K 4. Smartboard activities allow students to practice letter and number activities in a fun and engaging way. Discovering animal habitats and learning how flowers grow are just a few things learned through science investigations. Pre-K 4 students also participate in the SBS Science Fair! The students learn about concepts such as near and far, then and now, as well as wants and needs. There is always something fun to learn at St. Bridget School.
