Welcome to Our Pre-Kindergarten 4 Class!
My name is Mrs. Brilvitch. I have been an early childhood educator for 30 years and I have been a substitute teacher at St. Bridget School for the last three years. I have a B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Reading from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. As a Navy wife, I have held teaching certifications in Pennsylvania, California, Tennessee, and Virginia. Upon my husband’s retirement from the Navy, we returned to Connecticut to help care for his parents as well as be closer to family. My husband and I have two young adult children as well as two cockatiels. I enjoy walking or biking the Farmington Canal trail, reading, and spending time with family.
Pre-K 4 has been working on our daily routines including morning circle time and calendar. In our Faith Lessons we have listed ways we can be kind to others and we are learning our virtue for September, kindness. We will continue to highlight a virtue each month and we will build upon the virtues as we learn them. The virtues are: kindness, self-control, patience, peace, gentleness, love, and joy. We are beginning our alphabet and practicing our handwriting skills starting with letter Ll. Language Arts will see us learning about apples, graphing, and Johnny Appleseed. Upcoming shapes and colors will be circle and red. We are learning so much and we can’t wait to see what will be next!
