June 3, 2008
Greetings from second grade! It’s hard to believe it is already June - time truly has flown by. However, we continue to be very busy and the learning continues as we prepare to move on to find success in third grade.
Although we have finished our official Reading series and Spelling series, we will continue on with grammar, phonics and writing. We will continue reading both chapter books and from another reading series here in the classroom. In Math, we are busy with three digit subtraction, with and without regrouping, and we’ll be moving on soon to fractions, probability and range and mode as well as an introduction to multiplication and division. And as always, Faith and Technology will be part of every school day!
I want to thank you all for your support. I have truly enjoyed my time in second grade teaching your children. Each one of them is a unique individual with so much to offer and I feel blessed to have had this time with them. Please keep me in your prayers this summer as I will remember all of you and wish you a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer.
God bless,
Jennifer Klaas
