8th Grade Religion/Language Arts Reseach Assignment, Timeline and Rubric

You will research a topic or person significant to the history of the Catholic Church.  Your paper will discuss important details, including: 

1. Overall setting of time and place. 

2. Chronology of events or biographical information.

3. Impact of the events or accomplishments at the time they occurred.

4. Legacy of the event or person. 

The final draft must be 3 – 5 pages in length, double-spaced with a font of 12, in black ink.  You will receive detailed instruction in Language Arts class on the steps of research, writing, and correct format.  You will follow school rules for the use of computers and the internet, including observation of all copyright laws.  (No cut or copy and paste in note-taking, outlining, or writing.)
