Principal's Welcome

As Principal of St. Bridget School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website! We thank you for taking the time to visit and explore. We hope our website provides you with useful information of the amazing faith-filled learning experiences offered to our Pre-K—Grade 8 learners and the wonderful work accomplished by them.

We are very proud of our dedicated staff and enthusiastic learners and are pleased that you are considering, or have chosen, St. Bridget School (SBS) for your child(ren)’s education. At SBS, our administration and teachers work together to ensure that our children reach their fullest academic potential. I believe that all of us—the entire learning community of educators and families—must work together to guarantee success for all our learners. It is our responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual and decision-making skills necessary for them to take the risk of attempting new challenges, to help them blossom and grow as individuals and to give them the academic, spiritual, social, physical and emotional support to enable them to better realize their true potential as children of God. Each- and-every day, I have the privilege of witnessing wonderful children achieve this transformation and emerge more confident and assured of their worth as individuals, helped by the loving and guiding presence of our Pastor and Priest Director, Father Jeffrey V. Romans, parents, administration, teachers, staff, coaches and other members of the school community.

At SBS, we offer a rich, vibrant and holistic approach to education in the Catholic tradition that is inspired by the life and teachings of our Patron Saint, St. Bridget of Sweden. We offer this to all those who come—Catholics and all those of other faiths. It is above all else, a true sense of community, where each member makes his or her own unique contribution, and where all experience the joys and struggles of working and growing together, which makes St. Bridget's a truly special place.

With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at SBS. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of our Home and School Association, a School Board member, a Saint Bridget of Sweden parishioner, alumni, or a community member, you are encouraged to be involved! Increasing parent and community involvement in our school is a high priority for me as principal. Educational research clearly demonstrates that when parents and community members are more involved in a child’s education the child’s likelihood for academic success greatly increases.

One of our most important responsibilities is to keep you informed of all that is taking place at the school. One of the ways we do this is regularly updating our school website where you can find up-to-date events, classroom photographs and additional information. Therefore, you are encouraged to visit it as often as possible. Another critical communication tool that we use to keep parents informed is our educational platform, EduConnect. This is the quick and effective tool to help keep the “doors of communication” open between home and school. In addition to the website and EduConnect platform, I want you to know that you are welcome to call me if you have any questions and ideas to share.

If you would like to hear more about our school, or arrange a visit, please follow the contact links and rest assured you will be more than welcome. I look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family at St. Bridget School! Asking God’s blessings upon you and your family.

Yours, in Christ
