Mrs. Klaas – 4th grade
“O Mary! we crown thee with blossoms today Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May”
Spring has sprung! It is hard to believe that it is already May. The year has surely flown by, but there is still much to do. Please encourage your children to stay focused even as the weather heats up. We will continue on course in all of our subjects. We are moving onto geometry in math, the Southwest Region in social studies and discussing the Ten Commandments in faith. Of course, we will continue on in Reading Street with our weekly stories and spelling lists.
May is the month in which we celebrate, Jesus’ Mother, who is our Blessed Mother too! It is a wonderfully special time in which we can reflect on all Mary means in our lives and to pray the Rosary in her honor. Please discuss this at home and take some time to celebrate the Blessed Mother with your child. Consider joining our school family on May 16th for the May Crowning presented by our 3rd graders. Also, please pray for them as they prepare to celebrate the sacrament of First Holy Communion on May 6th.
Please see the list below for important May dates and be sure to read Mrs. Furlong’s weekly email in case any changes are made. We have many exciting things coming this month, including Play Day, I can’t wait!
